Kakegurui Twin, the spinoff and prequel to Kakegurui – Compulsive Gambler, is getting an anime adaptation that will stream on Netflix worldwide in August 2022. The anime series is animated by MAPPA. Minami Tanaka reprises her role as Mary Saotome.
Kakegurui Twin takes place a year before the events of the main series and the arrival of Yumeko Jabami at Hyakkaou Private Academy. Written by Homura Kawamoto and illustrated by Kei Saiki, the manga started serialization in Gangan Joker in September 2015. The series has inspired a live-action series premiered in March 2021.
