Orient Adventure Anime Reveals Official Trailer and January 5 Premiere

The TV anime adaptation of Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic author Shinobu Ohtaka’s Orient adventure manga revealed the official trailer that previews its opening song “Break out” performed by Da-iCE and ending song “Naniiro” by voice actor Wataru Hatano. The anime series will premiere on January 5, 2022 in Japan.

Orient is a battle fantasy series sets in the Warring States period when two boys, Musashi and Kojiro vow to form the strongest samurai corps and challenge to exterminate the demons, who ruled the humans at that time.

The trailer not only previews the character voices of Musashi and Kojiro, but also Tsugumi, a young samurai who loved being spoiled and Naotora, the leader of the Komaeda Bushido. The character voices of Shirō Inukai (CV: Hiro Shimono) and Nanao Inusaka (CV: Azumi Waki) are also revealed for the first time.

Orient Anime Story

At age 10, best friends Musashi and Kojiro sat in excited silence as Kojiro’s father spun tales of evil demons who preyed on the innocent, and the warriors who defeated them. Practicing swordplay, the two swear an oath to become the strongest in the world. But as they grow up, Kojiro turns cynical, and Musashi comes to realize that he can’t turn back 150 years of demon rule on his own. He’s being called a prodigy with a pickaxe, and he’s almost ready to settle for a life of labor. Yet he can’t shake the feeling that he still has a responsibility to act…and, soon, the injustices of his world will force his hand…
