The Love Live! School Idol Project multimedia franchise announced that the series will start a new project focusing on virtual school idol activities this fall.
The new project will be developed for multiple media platforms, with an aim to provide users a new entertaining experiences. The project will include videos showcasing the members and cast, a mobile application, music tracks and live concerts. A teaser movie is also revealed to preview the project.

Love Live! is a multimedia project that centers on the high school girls, who become school idols to chase their dreams, under the theme that everyone can achieve their dreams.
The franchise has inspired several TV anime series, including Love Live! School Idol Project, Love Live! Sunshine!!, Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club, and Love Live! Superstar!!, which won worldwide success. It also inspired two anime films, light novels, manga, and video games.
The 2nd season of Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club anime will broadcast on April 2, 2022 and the production of 2nd season of Love Live! Superstar!! anime has also been confirmed.
