Bandai Namco reveals their previously teased vampire title Code Vein (コードヴェイン), a new Action RPG due out 2018. Launching alongside the title’s official Twitter Account is the Official Website which contains details on the game’s setting and screenshots.
Code Vein is set in a ruined world. After the "Thorns of Judgement" pierced the Earth’s crust, almost all of mankind was wiped away, leaving only a closed society known as "Veins" and those known as "Revenants" who made a large sacrifice in order to survive.
The Revenants have supernatural abilities which came at a cost of losing the majority of their memory. They are able to retain their humanity by sucking blood. Without the supply of blood, Revenants gradually lose their humanity turning into monsters known as "Lost".
Players will be able to explore the ruined world with their Revenant "Buddy" partners to unravel the origins of Revenants and the secrets of the Vein.
Code Vein is scheduled for release in 2018, Bandai Namco has yet to reveal which platforms the game will be on.
