Square Enix announced that Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition is now available digitally on PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. The game is a remaster of the 1996’s adventure game featuring enhanced illustrations, refined music, and a variety of additional improvements.
Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition has one of the largest and most diverse casts of playable characters in any RPG with more than 40 unique potential party members. Players will follow the story of Serge, who stumbles into another world and learns of the connection between his existence and the future of his planet.
The remastered edition also includes “Radical Dreamers – Le Trésor Interdit -“, a text-based adventure video game released for Satellaview in 1996, which has never been released in the west.

In Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition, all 3D models are converted to full HD graphics. The artwork and character have been redesigned by Nobuteru Yuuki with refined background music by Yasunori Mitsuda. The game is also empowered with battle enhancement features, including an auto-battle function and background filter feature. Apart from English, the game will support French, Italian, German, and Spanish.
Players can also enjoy one brand new song and seven re-arranged music tracks from Chrono Cross and Radical Dreamers – Le Trésor Interdit -, all supervised by Yasunori Mitsuda.
The PS4 version will include an exclusive theme featuring Serge and Kid sailing on the blue ocean with a dragon in the skies above. The featured background music is a guitar arrangement of “Radical Dreamers -Le Trésor Interdit-” and had previously only been recorded on the limited-edition Chrono Cross 20th Anniversary Live Tour Blu-ray Disc.
