The stage play adaptation of Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi’s Dr. Stone manga revealed a new key visual and PV that centers on the cast members. Titled Dr. Stone: The Stage ~Science World~, the stage play will open its curtains at the Tokyo Sunshine Theatre from July 9 to July 18, and at the AiiA 2.5 Theater Kobe in Shin Kobe Oriental City from July 21 to July 24.
The script and lyrics are written by Sayaka Asai, leader of One on One, and directed by Masami Ito, leader of Shinkyodan Yumei Classics. The theme song will be sung by 40mP, a music producer who mainly produces works using Vocaloid on video-streaming websites.
It was also announced that Genki Ichioka of the YouTube channel GENKI LABO will participate as the scientific supervisor and instructor, to ensure complete safety when conducting the science experiments the anime are known for.
Tsubasa Kizu plays the main character, Senku. Naoya Iwashiro as Taiju Oki, Mizuki Nishiba as Yuzuki Ogawa, Yuki Nagari as Kohaku, Masugo Tamura as Chrome, Takumi Nagatsuka as Kin’ro, Tsukasa Taguchi as Gin’ro, and Yusa Ishida and Akari Miura as Suika. Yuta Osumi plays Gen Asagiri and Yuya Uno plays Tsukasa Shishio.
Original characters exclusive to the play will be introduced, such as Dr. Doctorow, who is played by Jun Ishida, and the Science Boys and Girls who support his research, who is played by Chikatomi Miyamoto, ASUKA, Ayano Watanabe, and Ruri Aoyama.
