Genshin Impact‘s version 2.8 update arrives in just over a week! This time no new 5-star was announced, but a new 4-star Anemo Catalyst user, Shikanoin Heizou arrives with the long-awaited return of Kaedehara Kazuha! Version 2.8 also features the Summertime Odyssey event featuring Fischl, Mona, and Xinyan, the Resonating Visions event, Reminiscent Regimen, Hidden Strife challenges, and Evermotion Mechanical painting minigame, and new outfits for Fischl and Diluc!
Version 2.8 arrives on July 13, with so much happening in the game, let’s check out all of the new content below!

▍New Character – Shikanoin Heizou
Shikanoin Heizou joins Genshin Impact as a 4-star Anemo Catalyst user! Despite being a catalyst user, Heizou likes to get up close and personal, attacking with melee attacks. He is also the first-ever male catalyst user! Use his elemental skill to buff the party’s elemental mastery, and finish off his opponents with his Windmuster Kick Elemental Burst.
▍Returning Characters – Kazuha, Klee, and Yoimiya!
Returning to the game after a long while, are Kazuha, Klee, and Yoimiya! Kazuha and Klee will be available when 2.8 launches in their own separate banners, and Yoimiya’s banner will be available in the latter half of version 2.8’s events!

The summer odyssey arrives! Join Fischl, Mona, Kazuha, and Xinyan as they return to Klee’s Private islands from the Midsummer Island Adventure, and enjoy a new adventure, story, and tons of event missions and rewards!

Uncover the voices of the past! Search for conches when exploring the Golden Archipelago in Summertime Odyssey to earn Primogems, Mystic Enhancement Ores, Mora, Talent Level-up Materials, and Fischl’s new outfit, Ein Immernachtstraum!

Learn about how Diluc picked up his new outfit, and defeat a threat from the past! The Hidden Strife event featuring Diluc rewards players will Primogems, Mystic Enhancement Ores, Character EXP materials, mora, and Weapon ascension materials!

Test your flying skills in Reminiscent Regimen! Collect green orbs for an energy boost and glide around the mysterious floating islands appearing above the Golden Archipelago to earn rewards from Primogems, Mystic Enhancement Ores, Character EXP, Mora, and Talent level-up materials!
