Publisher Nacon announced a brand open-world title based on the Terminator franchise. The game is currently only known by its project titled, Terminator Survival Project. The brief teaser trailer gave us a glimpse of the T-800 model, on the hunt for what else, human prey.
From the looks of the trailer, the destroyed environment, and the presence of the T-800, the game looks to take place after judgment day, the apocalyptic event that wiped out most of humanity by Skynet. The game also seems to take place before John Connor’s resistance was created, which would set it just before the events of the publisher’s previous Terminator game, Terminator: Resistance, though it is unknown if the Terminator Survival Project will be directly linked to that game.

▍About Terminator
Terminator is a sci-fi action franchise created by James Cameron, and Gale Annd Hurd. The series began as a film called “The Terminator” which spawned several sequel films, games, comic books, toys, and other forms of media. The second film in the series, Terminator 2: Judgement Day went on to become the highest-grossing film of 1991, and among the highest-grossing films of all time, with near-universal acclaim for its intimate story-telling bad-ass characters, and lasting impact.
The series centers around an end-of-the-world scenario caused by Skynet, a highly advanced Artificial Intelligence system created by the United States to wage wars. Somewhere in its programming, it determines all human life on the earth to be a threat, thus causing it to launch all nuclear warheads on the planet, wiping out humanity. In a bid to stop Skynet from getting its way, John Connor forms the resistance and plans several offenses against Skynet, including the most daring of all, a trip to the past to stop Skynet from ever forming.
