Square Enix recently updated the Japanese version of Dragon Quest Treasures’ official website, opening up the site’s “Story & World” and “Characters” sections. The additions to the website show additional shots of the game and go over more about Erik and Mia’s adventure, the world they inhabit, and even their voice cast!

▍Dragon Quest Treasures Story and World
■ Story
Erik and Mia, a pair of siblings who have spent their entire lives on a Viking Longship, and one day whisked off into a new world filled with spirits, monsters, and wonders!
The world known as Draconia invites them to a land where the Seven Dragon Stones and treasures galore await the two. In a world full of monsters and treasures the two have finally found the adventure they have dreamed their whole lives for!
■ World
The world of Draconia is a land made up of several floating islands, each with its own ecology, climate, and wildlife. When visiting Draconia, the pair are gifted the ability to converse with the monsters by using the Dragon’s Dagger, which means you can tame monsters to build a small group and collect treasures together!
▍Dragon Quest Treasures Characters
Dragon Quest Treasures features the thief duos, Erik and Mia, from Dragon Quest XI! The pair journeys together hoping to find great treasure and explore the world! Both characters are paired with a spirit animal, with Erik being paired with the flying cat, Purrsula, and the flying pig Porcus!
The website also mentioned the feature to switch between both of the characters with a single button press, suggesting that during the game’s combat, you can only control one character at a time!

Erik, is an ambitious young man with dreams to go on a grand adventure and making a fortune for his sister Mia. He is accompanied by the spirit Purrsula.
