The blog post details several of the game’s features including its units, story stages, battle systems and animations, gasha, upgrading, details of the coming CBT, and that the game features over 700 mobile suits on release from 18 titles, making it the biggest in G Generation history!

■ Units
While SD Gundam G Generation Eternal will have Gasha elements, the primary method of getting new units is through the Development, and Production features in the game. The team wants to make it easier for you to make your favorite squad, without being locked behind a gasha component, which was the biggest gripe players had from the previous titles.
They did state that certain events and new scenarios have mobile suits available in the gasha first, suggesting that even the exclusive suits are available from production and development after the gasha expires, or at a later time.
■ Story
SD Gundam G Generation Eternal is implementing a stamina system similar to other mobile games, but you won’t need to use stamina at all to play the game’s scenario stages! Since the story scenario is a trademark of the series, players will be able to play the story at their own pace without being locked by systems and daily limits.
SD Gundam G Generation Eternal will have scenarios based on 18 different Gundam titles on release, with new scenarios being updated post-release. Certain stories may be broken up due to their size.
SD Gundam G Generation Eternal is also opting to cut battles down into smaller segments, which you can complete in around 15 minutes. This makes it easier for players to move in and out of stages, helps accommodate a mobile play style, and offers more player freedom. The devs assured that the overall story of each title will still be as long as you remember
■ Battle Systems
SD Gundam G Generation Eternal plans on maintaining the series’ complex battle systems, with control of your suits in a grid. As mentioned in the game’s release teaser, the game will feature an auto-mode allowing you to let the game grind automatically, since event stages and suit upgrades will become more vital than ever.
Due to the game’s promise of over 700 suits and since it’s on mobile, the devs are cutting down on the game’s battle animations, with certain attacks having “half battle animations” instead of the full animations the series is known for. To compensate, stages will feature more cutscenes and character voice lines within scenarios to help reach a similar level of immersion to the original works.

■ Gasha
Like with many mobile games, SD Gundam G Generation Eternal features a gasha system allowing you to pick up new suits released during events and new scenarios. You can still pick them up later through development. If you do end up gashaing for the suit, you get early access to the mobile suit with it being upgraded to high grade, with unlocked abilities and skills, and have a chance to get its Eternal Arms!
Eternal Arms is a new system unique to G Generation Eternal, granting a unit with unique attacks and animations exclusive to the game, check out the powerful attack below!

■ Upgrading and Training
You can to upgrade your suits in several areas, boosting their levels, grades, alterations, skill levels, and ability levels to make them more powerful!
The devs stated that all suits will be of a similar power when maxed out, meaning you aren’t penalized for not using your favorite mobile suits and can enjoy fighting your enemies at peak potential with any mobile suit you like!
While all mobile suits will be at a “similar power”, different skills and abilities give each mobile suit their own niches they can excel at, making certain ones more suitable for specific stages.
■ Additional Features
While not directly discussed, the devs plan on adding the Master Unit and Support systems from previous G Generation games, and adding a PVP feature! However, the Sub flight system is being removed from the game, to help make SD Gundam G Generation Eternal’s PVP fairer and to accommodate for the different stages of the game.
▍SD Gundam G Generation Eternal CBT Details
SD Gundam G Generation Eternal’s closed beta test will feature most of the features present in the final game, with over 100 units available to players, and being able to use production and development to get these suits and characters.
The release date for the Closed Beta test has yet to be revealed, but the devs say it will be “just a little longer” until registration for the CBT begins, so hopefully, it will arrive in the coming months!
