Netflix announced that Moyashi Fujisawa’s Burn the House Down suspense manga will be adapted as a live-action drama that streamed exclusively on Netflix worldwide next year.
The drama will be directed by Yûichirô Hirakawa at Office Crescendo in collaboration with Netflix, and Arisa Kaneko will handle the scripts. Actress Mei Nagano plays the role of Kyoko Murata and Kyōka Suzuki plays Makiko with more cast to be revealed at a later date.

The Mitarai’s House is on Fire is a home suspense drama about the protagonist, who works as a housekeeper for the Mitarai family, a family that has run a hospital for generations. The Mitarai family, a wealthy family, had an unfortunate incident in the past when their house burned down due to mismanagement of the fire by the wife.
Thirteen years later, Kyoko Murata, a housekeeper, goes to work for the Mitarai family, a new client. She is greeted by Makiko, who became the future wife of the Mitarai family after the fire. Kyoko is now infiltrating the Mitarai house as a housekeeper, but now she has a real purpose…
