▍Fate EXTRA Record Worldview
Set in an alternate universe from the original fate series, in 2030 the world’s pool of mana officially dried up. Set within a school known as Tsukumihara Academy, an artificial environment created by the Moon Cell, 128 participants are chosen to fight in a war using servants against other masters. The winner receives the Holy Grail, which will grant any wish for the winner, while the losers become deleted from the Moon Cell, and subsequently die in the real world.
▍Fate EXTRA Record Gameplay
Fate EXTRA Record plays as a dungeon-crawling RPG where players encounter enemies created by the Moon Cell and eventually fight against a master and their servant. Combat is turn-based, with players issuing one of three commands in a six-move turn. Each command is designed to counter another move, with Attack beating out Breaks, Breaks destroying an opponent’s Guard, and Guards successfully blocking Attacks. Essentially having you predict a series of rock-paper-scissors interactions with the opponent.
