Yowamushi Pedal: Limit Break Anime Unveils 1st PV, Theme Songs, and October 9 Premiere

Toho animation’s official YouTube channel began streaming the first promotional video for Yowamushi Pedal Limit Break, the 5th anime season of Wataru Watanabe’s Yowamushi Pedal manga. The anime will premiere on NHK on October 9.

The promotional video reveals and previews the opening theme song and ending theme song. The opening is “Keep going” by 04 Limited Sazabys and the ending is “PRIDE” by Novelbright.

The PV highlights the series protagonist Sakamichi Onoda and members of the Sohoku team, who are bound by strong ties, encouraging each other and believing in each other as they sprint towards the goal. Members of rival schools also appear one after another, and Hakone Gakuen, who desired to reclaim the champion, stands in the way of Sohoku team full of confidence. And Kyoto Fushimi High School, which has a strong obsession with victory, will corner the Sohoku team from behind while giving off an eerie presence.

About Yowamushi Pedal

Yowamushi Pedal is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Wataru Watanabe. It began serialization in the 12th issue of Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shōnen Champion in 2008, and as of December 2021, the series has been compiled into 75 tankōbon volumes. The manga has been licensed in North America by Yen Press in 2015. Several new mangas continue to be published.

Yowamushi Pedal centers on Onoda Sakamichi, a rather timid, anime-loving first-year student at Sohoku High School. His life changed after meeting Imaizumi Shunsuke, a renowned cyclist since middle school, and Naruko Shoukichi, who swept the Kansai cycling championship, he ended up joining the competitive cycling club.
