Developer Aurogon Shanghai has revealed a new trailer for Afterimage, a beautifully hand-drawn 2D side-scrolling Metroidvania-style action RPG that is coming in late 2022 to PC, PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
Afterimage challenges players to explore the ancient city of Engadin, while discovering the truth of the world with various faces in different areas. Encounter fantastic creatures during your journey, such as giant beasts wandering in fire, and spirits lurking in the depth of complicated labyrinths.

Afterimage is a traditional 2D side-scrolling ARPG Metroidvania with intuitive controls and a seamless semi-open world with over 15 different areas!
You can develop your own combat style with a diverse selection of weapons with special attacks and various upgrade paths on the talent tree, as well as over 10 character abilities which will help you improve yourself in this fast-paced ARPG. Your first game run is estimated to take almost 30 hours of gameplay!
Each of the areas features entirely different enemies and gameplay mechanics. Also, there are many unique bosses challenging your skills across the land. Opportunity lies in risks with hundreds of chests and numerous abilities ready to be unlocked to aid your adventure.
