Deirdre: Fated Saint, hailing from the SNES classic, Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War, is joining the Fire Emblem Heroes roster. Starting from August 31 at 7:00 [UTC]/12:00 AM [PT], you’ll be able to summon this Legendary Hero for yourself. ▍Fire Emblem Heroes New Hero – Deirdre: Fated Saint
Deirdre: Fated Saint is a blue tome infantry unit with the Earth Effect, possessing an Ally Boost for ATK by +2 along with the universal +3 to HP.
Her maxed-out weapon is the Spirit Forest Writ, a tome with 14 Might and 2 range that possesses the unique attribute of accelerating special triggers by a count of 1 and dealing extra damage against dragon units.
If Deirdre is within 3 spaces of another ally, her weapon grants her three incredibly powerful buffs in combat: Firstly she can inflict an ATK/RES -6 debuff on her foes during combat, and she can make a guaranteed follow-up attack. Secondly upon attacking she disables an enemy’s skill that “calculates damage using the lower of foe’s Def or Res”. Third and finally Deirdre inflicts a further ATK/RES penalty to any enemy if their RES is lower than that of Deirdre equal to 80% of their stat difference at the beginning of combat.
But that’s not all. For their still, her special action is another can of beans to unpack. The special move in question, ‘Circlet of Balance’ is a 2 cooldown move that has a unique scaling off the user’s RES stat by 40%.
Outside of this her special passively allows Deirdre to tank a deadly blow as long as her HP is greater than 1. The specific criteria for her to activate this skill come in two separate conditions. One states that either she or her attacker has a special ready, or a special on either side must have been triggered during the combat in which she would suffer a deadly blow. The second other condition is that she must be the initiator of combat or that her foe’s range is equal to two. Meet any of these conditions and she will survive any damage inflicted to her at 1HP!
Her passive skill A (Still Water) also grants an ATK/RES +7 and inflicts DEF-3 to any combatant she faces. Skill B (Atk/Res Tempo) is a new passive which inflicts a further ATK/RES -3 debuff while disabling any special cooldown-related buff OR debuff being cast by a foe. Finally, Skill C (Atk/Res Menace) will grant Deirdre an ATK/RES +6 buff to herself and an ATK/RES -6 to the nearest foe, should they be within 4 spaces of her.
▍How to get Deirdre?
Deirdre: Fated Saint will be available at the Summoning Focus banner after the update and her banner will go on for exactly 2 weeks starting from August 31 at 12:00 [UTC]/7:00 [PT] all the way up to September 13 at 6:59 [UTC]/11:59 [PT].
Any players opting in on the Feh Pass can use the focus feature to build up pity for summoning Deirdre: Fated Saint by accumulating sparks after 40 pulls to guarantee the selected focus Hero from the event summon. Feh Pass holders can also acquire a Celestial Stone item after 40 pulls, which can then be traded off for various valuable items at the store page.
