The long-awaited JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R is out today on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch. PC gamers will have to wait one more day as the Steam version will go live tomorrow. A new trailer has also been revealed to celebrate the launch.
As many may know, the game is a remaster of the 2013’s JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle fighting game, which aims to capture the creator Hirohiko Araki’s unique art style with faithfully recreated character expressions, “Stand” special move cut-scenes, and intense battles. It also features original Japanese VO to complete the gaming experience with their signature catchphrases.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R brings together a massive roster of 50 characters from every story arc in JoJo’s franchise anime series. It also introduces a completely modernized version of the fight system from the original game, upping the tempo with hit stops, dash jumps, intricate new combos, and an all-new “Assist” battle system.
In the game, players can experience popular battles from each story and see heroes from different universes interact for the first time, playing as Jonathan Joestar, Dio, Jotaro Kujo, Jolyne Cujoh, daughter of Jotaro and the first-ever female main protagonist in the series, and many more.
The game offers a total of six game modes, including All-Star Battle Mode, in which you can complete battles with various setups, including reliving classic JoJo bouts and playing through “What-If” fights between different characters, and earn rewards along the way.
The Arcade Mode allows you to combat computer-controlled opponents in eight consecutive battles in Challenge Battle or fight until your health runs out in Endless Battle. Battle your friends or the CPU in Single Battle, 3v3Team Battle, or against eight opponents in Tournament Battle in the Versus Mode. Other featured modes include an Online Mode, Practice Mode, and Customise Mode.
