South Korean developer RisingWings, a subsidiary of Krafton, announced Defense Derby, a new real-time strategic defense game for iOS and Android.
An early access test for the game will take place on September 15 and go all the way to September 30. The test will be on Google Play only, and an Android 5.1 or newer device is required to play the game. Interested players can apply for the test on the official website HERE.
Defense Derby is a strategic, PvP defense game with a real-time auction system added for a new experience in the tower defense genre. It intends to offer immersive and intense gameplay by introducing strategic card combinations to create various synergy effects and adding the auction system to make bold moves by predicting the opponent’s next step.
▍Defense Derby Gameplay
Here’s how the gameplay loop works: In each round, four players obtain cards through an auction and build up their decks with the acquired cards. Their objective is to defend their castles against the incoming monsters. If a player’s castle goes down, they lose the match. This will go on until the last survivor is crowned the winner.
Powerful synergy effects can be created depending on the race, attribute, and placement of cards, players can enjoy strategic gameplay by leveraging diverse card combinations. You can also scout various units and build your own deck.
The game also counts with single-player modes, such as Blitz and the Dungeons, while still providing the desirable thrill of competition.
