As a joyful surprise, the official Twitter of NieR Reincarnation announced a collaboration with Persona 5 Royal starting September 8! A collaboration trailer featuring Joker, Queen, and Fox is also revealed!
NieR Reincarnation has held a lot of collaboration events since its release last July, but most of the titles are within the umbrella of Square Enix, including Nier Replicant, Drakengard 3, and Final Fantasy 14. This latest Persona 5 crossover is the first time the game has branched to IP beyond Square Enix’s ownership.
The Persona 5 Royal crossover not only features Joker, Queen, and Fox as 4-star playable characters but also a game’s original story for gamers to play through. According to the Japanese source, Joker and Queen will be featured in the Gacha line-up, while Fox and his weapon will be available in the Medal Exchange Shop.
A login bonus campaign that gives away 3,000 Gems, a 4-star character guaranteed gacha ticket, and Jack o’ Frost will also be available during the collaboration period.

NieR Reincarnation is a smartphone game created by NieR and NieR: Automata producer Yōsuke Saitō with Taro Yoko serving as creative director. CyDesignation’s Akihiko Yoshida is the main character designer. It is developed by Blade Xlord developer Applibot. The game was first launched in Japan on February 18 and surpassed 10 million downloads in four days.
The command-based battle system is semi-auto, where characters deal normal attacks automatically. Activate weapon skills and character skills at the right timing to defeat your enemies. Using weapon skill to add a defensive debuff and then connecting it to another skill with high firepower to aim for large damage. On the other hand, the characters of your party’s center could be moved to any position.
