At a special stage event in today’s Tokyo Game Show 2022, Konami announced Suikoden I&II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars, a remaster of the first and second installments of the Suikoden series. Junko Kawano will return to work on the character design. The game will be released on PS4, Xbox One, Steam, and Nintendo Switch in 2023.

In order to celebrate this announcement, Konami has aired the game’s announcement trailer. Konami also showcased this HD remaster during its TGS special stage. The game will retain its 2D sprites and all background illustrations have been upgraded to HD. Updated effects and new environmental sounds will also be added to this new game to immerse gamers in this fantasy world. An auto-save function will also be available, as well as Battle Fast Forward and Conversation Log.
