The second season of Kantai Collection’s anime, Kancolle: Someday in that Sea (KanColle: Itsuka Ano Umi) de unveiled a new trailer for the series and its debut date of November 3.
The anime will feature the song “Shigure” (時雨) from Toshi Ryugen and will be aired as an eight-episode anime as opposed to the typical 11 to 13 episodes, citing that the production team wants to focus on higher-quality episodes.
The anime’s cast includes Saki Fujita, Yumi Tanabe, Aya Suzaki, Yui Horie, Iori Nomizu, Yui Ogura, Risa Taneda, Kozue Hayasaka, Wakana Miyawaka, Mana Komatsu, Ayana Taketatsu, Yuki Yamada, and Nao Tōyama. More cast members, along with the range of characters these cast members will voice in the anime has yet to be revealed.

Kantai Collection is originally a web browser game developed by DMM Games in 2015. The central theme of the game is the representation of World War II warships personified as teenage girls and young adult women with personality characteristics reflecting the history of each ship. Originally, all of these were Japanese, but ships from other nations have also been added as the game has developed. Gameplay involves all aspects of naval warfare, including not only combat but also maintenance, repair, upgrading, resupply, morale, logistics and mission planning.
