In a rather weird decision, Entergram announced that it is currently in charge of an upcoming console port of Yuki Yuna is a Hero: Hanayui no Kirameki.

The mobile and PC browser versions of the game are still shutting down later this year on October 28, 16:00 [JST]. The console version was announced during the game’s Grand Finale broadcast where various voice actors and game developers came together to reminisce about the game.

The console will apparently have new and improved graphics, retain the story mode of the original smartphone and PC browser versions, as well as have a new story exclusive to the console versions, meaning this isn’t just a port as it will contain content the originals did not have.

Yuki Yuna is an RPG adapted from the original TV anime of the same name. Players engage the enemy in real-time combat, protecting their base from enemies moving along a grid, with an elemental system and active skills system similar to games like Chain Chronicle.

The console version is going to retain this style of gameplay with a number of tweaks to the controls for gamepad support.
