Led by the creator of Final Fantasy, Hironobu Sakaguchi (坂口 博信), Mistwalker announced a sequel to their well-received mobile RPG Terra Battle (テラバトル) at midnight today (22nd June). The announcement is made through a 4-minute long game trailer.
The video suggests that the new work, Terra Battle 2, will inherit the setting from the first game and will have a plot that is the direct continuation of the first one. On the newly launched official website, Sakaguchi published a letter saying that he would love to create a total of nine instalments for the franchise.
A character reference video is also now available.
Famitsu will have a live stream introducing this upcoming title on Nico Nico at 20:00 tonight (GMT+9). More details will be revealed in due time.
Terra Battle 2 will be released for mobile and PC. The release date is unknown.
