The fast-paced dungeon-crawling action game Torchlight: Infinite officially enters open data testing for iOS, Android, and PC via Steam, following a close beta that ended on September 18. This open beta will run until the game fully launches with all progress carrying over.
For those who are not familiar with the title, Torchlight was originally the work of developer Runic Games, which made two games in the series before its closure in 2017. Publisher Perfect World then revived the series nine months later with a third title, which launched in 2020 joining hands with developer Echtra Games.
Torchlight: Infinite, which is developed by Shangai-based studio XD Inc., takes the series’ dungeon-crawling formula and reworks it to accommodate a free-to-play model. The game is dubbed as a true loot-based ARPG, which embodies everything fans love about the genre. The hero-driven, action-packed gameplay throws you into dungeons teeming with treasures, and players can do so whilst indulging in deep skill systems, and bountiful builds for an array of characters.
