Square Enix just released the Steam version of NEO: The World Ends with You, one year after it was released exclusively on the Epic Games Store!
In a bizarre choice of release window, Square Enix released the title just one day before Persona 5 Royal, but we here didn’t forget. The sequel to the original The World Ends with You on Nintendo DS, the game brings 3D psychic-action combat, set in Tokyo’s Shibuya district where characters have to survive the “Reapers’ Game”, a battle for the recently deceased to earn back one last chance of survival!

Set in the Shibuya district of Tokyo Japan, this game is a sequel to the original title released way back in 2007 for the Nintendo DS.
It was just another ordinary day for Rindo when he realizes something about the city was different. He awakes and finds himself in a crossfire between powerful psychics in the Shiuya Scramble Crossing, and he’s told by a mysterious girl that he is now participating in the “Reaper’s Game”.
With newfound powers and no choice but to fight for his life, Rindou sets out on a journey to uncover the mystery behind the Reaper’s game, and the agendas behind the other teams participating in this life-or-death game.
▍Neo: The World Ends With You Gameplay
Unlike the original title, NEO: The World Ends with You is a fully 3D RPG where you can control multiple characters with psychic abilities called “pins”. Each character can equip one pin, giving you four attacks you can combo from during battle.
Four pins don’t sound like a lot,but the game features over 300 pins and groupings to let you create deadly attack combinations! You can also equip the latest drip on your characters, giving them boosts to their abilities and new powers to make your team even stronger!
Powers can also be used to explore the vast city, as you explore all that Shibuya, and Japan has to offer!
