The P.A. Works x Nitroplus original anime Buddy Daddies revealed a teaser visual, trailer, main cast, and staff. The television anime is also confirmed to debut in January 2023.
Yoshiyuki Asai is directing the anime at P.A. Works. Vio Shimokura from Nitroplus drafted the original story and is also overseeing the series scripts with Yuuko Kakihara. Katsumi Enami drafted the original character designs, and Round Table’s Katsutoshi Kitagawa is composing the music.
The story of Buddy Daddies follows Kazuki Kurusu, a criminal contractor/coordinator who lives with Rei Suwa, his best friend, and roommate, who is a professional assassin who has been raised since he was a child to be a contract killer. Kazuki is outgoing and loves gambling and women, while Rei is a man of few words who just spends his off time playing video games, given the opportunity. One day, however, the two buddies end up caring for Miri Unasaka, a four-year-old girl whose father is a mob boss, after she accidentally wanders into a gunfight in a hotel while looking for her father.

■ Kazuki Kurusu – CV: Toshiyuki Toyonaga
He lives with his colleague and buddy Rei, who also takes care of his personal needs. His main division of work is contracting, gathering information in advance, and making execution plans. He has good communication skills and a penchant for women and gambling. He is good at cooking and cleaning and occasionally scolds Rei for his self-indulgent lifestyle.
■ Rei Suwa – CV: Kouki Uchiyama
A man of few words and sometimes forgets that Kazuki and he are roommates. He is physically strong and his fighting skills and marksmanship level are among the best in the industry, and whenever he’s either in his work mode or his private life mode, it is as if he flips a switch, because, given the chance, he would rather stay indoors and play video games all the time. His family has trained him as a gifted assassin since he was a child.
■ Miri Unasaka – CV: Hina Kino}
An energetic, unafraid and naive girl. Her father is a big broker and mafia boss in a human trafficking ring. Her mother is the boss’s mistress. When she comes to the hotel looking for her father, she gets caught in a gunfight. She then was sent to Kazuki and Rei’s house at a personal request from her father.
