Team POCO’s Touhou ~ Red Empress Devil, a new Roguelike 2D action game, has been listed on Steam’s store page. The game plans to support Japanese, English, and Simplified Chinese when it launches in 2023.
Developed by a two-man team, this newest title is described as a Roguelike Bullethell Action Shooter. Set to the plot of the first mainline Touhou Project game on Windows “Touhou Koumakyou: Embodiment of Scarlet Devil”, players will traverse the ever-changing dungeon that is the Scarlet Devil Mansion as one of the twenty characters to be featured in the game.

Altered by the time-shifting abilities of Sakuya Izayoi, the Scarlet Devil Mansion has been turned into an ever-changing labyrinth. Take on the challenge as fan-favorite characters and reach the end as you upgrade your character’s skills and pick up items to make your very own character build!
Heavily inspired by titles such as Enter the Gungeon and The Binding of Isaac, the game appears to take much of the roguelike formula from its contemporary and aims to merge them with the fast-tempo bullet-weaving action found in the Touhou Project titles.
