The developers behind the game initially released their game in the Asia regions, and have now decided to expand to a western audience, releasing their game internationally. When asked why now, they responded with the following;

EDGE: MECH-ASCENT has you battling various mechs and creatures in an arena-like setting. Battles have an auto-battler feel to them as you make no active choices during combat, instead, your job is to gear up and bring a strong enough team before entering combat before watching them fight their hearts out.
