The anime film Sasaki and Miyano: Graduation, based on the yaoi manga written and illustrated by Shō Harusono, has revealed the key visual and official trailer. The film will open in theaters in Japan on February 17, along with the short film “Hirano and Kagiura”, based on the latest manga by the same author.
The theme song for the movie will be “MARCH” by Miracle Chimpanzee, a Japanese musical group that also performs the opening theme song for the TV Anime.
A stage greeting to commemorate the film’s release will be held on February 24 at Grant Cinema Sunshine Ikebukuro in Tokyo. The stage greeting will feature Yusuke Shirai as Shuumei Sasaki, Souma Saito as Yoshikazu Miyano, and Ryohei Ara as Tasuku Kuresawa.
In addition, as a weekly special gift to the audience, a manga booklet “A Little Story about Valentine’s Day with Sasaki and Miyano,” newly drawn by Shō Harusono, will be distributed in the first week at theaters.

▍About Sasaki and Miyano
Shō Harusono serialized the manga online via pixiv comic website since 2016. It has been collected in eight tankōbon volumes by Media Factory. A two-volume novel adaptation by Kotoko Hachijō was published by Media Factory from October 2018 to March 2020. A spin-off manga by Harusono titled Hirano to Kagiura has been serialized in Media Factory’s shōjo manga magazine Monthly Comic Gene since March 2019 and has been collected in two tankōbon volumes. An anime television series adaptation by Studio Deen aired from January to March 2022.
The story started like a typical old-school boys’ love plotline—a bad-boy senior meets an adorably awkward underclassman, one of them falls in love, and so on and so forth. But although Miyano is a self-proclaimed boys’ love expert, he hasn’t quite realized…he’s in one himself. This means it’s up to Sasaki to make sure their story has a happily ever after…!
