Bandai Namco Entertainment announced that Gundam Area Wars, the turn-based auto-battling RPG will be shutting down on March 30, a whole 11 and a half years after the game came out in September 2011.
The announcement was made on the game’s official website with fairly few details. One bit to note is that, unlike most titles that stop selling premium currency right away, Gundam Area Wars will only spend the sale of G-Points on February 28, one month before the game actually shuts down and the game has yet to announce any refund policies.
▍ About Gundam Area Wars
Gundam Area Wars is a mobile RPG featuring over 500 mobile suits each with their own 3D models. Aside from original suits, there are several variations of mobile suits all based on the Universal Century series.
The game features PVP and PVE battles and plays like a turn-based RPG, with you being able to command each of our units to attack specific enemies on a hexagonal grid. The gameplay itself is fairly automatic as the units will perform skills on their own, and the game also has an autoplay feature.
Gundam Area Wars has a rating of 3.6 on the QooApp Game Store.
