As a new release from the Encore series of games, Bandai Namco Entertainment has revealed We Love Katamari Reroll+Royal Reverie, which will be available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series on Thursday, June 1, and on PC via Steam on June 2, 2023.
As a sequel to 2018’s Katamari Damacy Reroll, We Love Katamari Reroll+Royal Reverie goes beyond its predecessor, featuring multiplayer coop and versus, alongside brand new content in the form of the new Royal Reverie game mode.

The revamped remaster of the PS2 classic first released in 2005 boasts upgraded graphics, paired with superior playability!
By sheer accident, the King of All Cosmos destroyed all the stars and celestial bodies in the universe, save for Earth itself. Sending his son, the Prince, down to Earth, he ordered him to create a huge magical ball known only as a Katamari. Eventually, the many Katamari he created were returned to the heavens, restoring the beauty of the constellations.
Seeing their night sky restored, people all over the world were grateful to the King. Keen not to disappoint his new fans, the King of All Cosmos has now sent his progeny down again, this time tasked with fulfilling the wishes of the people.
Take control of the Prince this time collecting objects menial to absurd, microscopic to gargantuan in a journey to create the magical balls known as a “Katamari”. The sequel to the original Katamari Damacy further iterates on the Prince’s herculean tasks, this time adding a variety of challenges beyond simply reaching a certain size of Katamari, such as creating one by rolling snowballs or sumo wrestlers.
The game features offline coop and split-screen competitive modes! Roll by yourself, together with friends, or vying to make the mother of all Katamari, the choice is up to you.

Outside of the ball-rolling-goodness fans may be used to, the remaster also features new game modes to spice things up, alongside quality-of-life adjustments to improve gameplay.
■ New Game Mode “Royal Reverie”
Take on the role of the King of All Cosmos in his youth, where his very own father takes the young king through strict conditions and challenging objectives. Originally inspired by the interstitial cutscenes that play in the original game, Royal Reverie mode allows you to control the King himself, rather than the Prince and his sons.
■ Selfie Mode
During your rolling tasks, the Prince can now pull out his trusty camera to take snapshots of himself with the new Selfie mode. Different locations and objects also happen to have strange icons that can only be seen through the right camera angle. so keep an eye out for these hidden pictures.
■ Favorite BGM Function
Have a favorite track you like out of the numerous tunes heard throughout each level? Select a dozen as a playlist with the Favorite BGM function!
■ Eternal Mode
Roll up the universe to your heart in this new game mode, where the limits are off and you have no King to look over your tasks.
Outside of these brand new features, We Love Katamari Reroll+Royal Reverie features such as “Improved Navigation” functionality that helps guide you to your destination, a “Gorgeous” graphics setting that makes the game look much better than its “Usual Stuff” counterpart, and more.
