The official website and Twitter account for the Uncle From Another World anime series announced earlier today that the anime’s final and 13th episode will be airing on March 8 on the AT-X channel, and later on BS11, Tokyo MX, TV Aichi, KBS Kyoto, Sun TV and the streaming services Netflix on March 9. A new trailer has been revealed in coincidence with the announcement.
The production committee, alongside the animation studio Atelier Pontdarc commented that the delay was necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of their staff, restating how the hiatus that started on December 29, 2022, was due to the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The television anime adaptation of the manga that pays homage to the old school games and consoles from SEGA has had a rocky ride, but it finally stick the landing in March, with the series having to delay its airing a total of three times as of this writing. The Uncle From Another World anime first premiered in July 2022 on streaming service Netflix, where the series subsequently suffered varying lengths of delays on the fifth and eighth episodes, resulting in past episodes being re-aired throughout their periods of hiatus.

Seventeen years ago, Takafumi’s uncle fell into a coma, but now he’s back like a man risen from his grave. Soon, Takafumi discovers two bizarre things: His uncle treasures video games above all else, and, while comatose, he was actually transported to another world as some heroic guardian! Now, not only does Takafumi have to room with an uncle who is literally magical, but he also has to catch the guy up on two decades of history—smartphones, high-speed internet, modern anime tropes…and the traumatic outcome of the ’90s console war.
