It was confirmed that the third season of the anime That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, based on the fantasy light novel written by Fuse, will air in Japan in Spring 2024. The announcement was revealed as part of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the franchise.
Tensura 10th Anniversary, a project to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the serialization of Fuse’s original novel has been launched. A special website has been opened to focus on upcoming celebration events. A visual commemorating the project was also unveiled featuring different versions of Rimuru Slime drawn by various artists are featured.
The 10th-anniversary project also includes the release of the three-part original anime, Corleus no Yume, which will be released in the fall of 2023. Based on an original short story written by Fuse that was included in the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2 Blu-rays, the story of Corleus no Yume” is set between the first and second seasons of the anime series, following Rimuru, who confronts a conspiracy swirling in the kingdom of Corleus.
On the other hand, Fuse will serialize a special story, How to Spend a Certain Vacation on the website Shōsetsuka ni Narō to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his series.
The story takes place between the 9th and 10th volumes of the novel, featuring the story of Rimuru and his friends who go to a place where ancient and modern magic gather called the Magic Tower to develop a new special move but get caught up in a conflict. The special story will also be adapted into a manga by Yuzo Takada.
In addition, a stage play, the first based on the original work, will be performed in August, with the series’ first large-scale event taking place in the same month. More details will be revealed at a later date.

Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken, known in English as That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, is an Isekai light novel series following an office worker who was killed and of course, gets reincarnated as a slime!
At first, the slime begins without any senses, barely able to tell their surroundings, wandering around a cave. The slime quickly learns that it has a ” predator ” skill that allows it to devour anything, mimicking its attributes and abilities. While hobbling around the cave it runs into one of the most powerful beings in the land, a storm dragon called Veldora.
The pair become fast friends, and the two bestow a name upon each other, the slime now being known as Rimuru Tempest and the dragon known as Veldora Tempest. Rimuru forges a pact with Veldora to take him out of the cave he was sealed in, by devouring all of Veldora until he can break his seal. Rimuru exits the cave and goes on a journey spanning the world, in the hopes and dreams of creating a peaceful land where monsters can coexist.
