The wait is finally over, as HoYoverse finally revealed in its Honkai Star Rail boarding program that the game is coming on April 26!
While the boarding preparation program didn’t outright state it would reveal its release date, the Japanese Twitter for the game already revealed that we’d be getting its release date. If you haven’t been keeping up with the game, Star Rail also hit 5 million pre-registrations earlier this month, meaning everyone will pick up 20-star rail passes, and the 4-Star character Serval for free! The game will also begin pre-downloads a few days beforehand on April 23.
Since Honkai Star Rail’s release is still about a month away, players can still pre-register for the game through the official website, Google Play, and App Store, and coming later to PlayStation.

The game also announced it’s two starting event warps, with Phase 1 featuring Seele and her Light Cone In the Night (The Hunt), and Phase 2 coming later featuring the Swirl of Heavenly Spear, Jing Yuan and his Light Cone The Erudition, and Jing Yuan is one of the newest characters introduced as he was playing in the second half of Star Rail’s last CBT!
▍Honkai Star Rail v1.0 Launch Events
In the latter half of the v1.0 launch, the Boulder Town Super League event will also begin, letting you earn free Stellar Jades and useful upgrade items!
During this event, you’ll be pitted against random enemies and challengers each with unique weaknesses. As you face off against them in multiple rounds the enemies will get increasingly more challenging, so it’s up to you to switch out your team members to counter the enemy’s composition!
The game will also be launching with the Trailblazing Will level up event, granting you a bunch of free gacha tickets for the game’s standard warp. Speaking of warps, the game will also be launching permanently with its starter warp, costing reduced Stellar Jades to roll it, and will guarantee you a 5-star character at 50 warps!

Honkai Star Rail is a spiritual successor and spin-off/sequel to Honkai Impact 3rd, taking place worlds apart from the world of Kiana and her friends, as Welt Yang embarks on a new adventure.

Honkai Star Rail is a turn-based RPG, with you controlling a party of four. Characters take turns based on turn order, which can be adjusted based on a character’s current stats, and the status of the enemies.
Enemies and characters in the game are all tied to an element. If you attack an enemy with their elemental weakness, you can cause a “break” status effect, dealing additional damage while also applying a debuff.
