The official YouTube channel of Avex Pictures has unveiled the second trailer for the Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King anime film, which features the new characters joining the hit anime and their voice cast. The film will be released on June 16, 2023 in Japan’s theatres, as well as on Netflix worldwide, after being delayed previously due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King tells an original story of the Wizard King which was untold in the original work. The second trailer previews the voices of the new characters; the 27th Wizard King Konrad played by Toshihiko Seki, the 20th Wizard King Edward played by Hôchû Ôtsuka, the 11th Wizard King Prishia played by Miyuki Sawashiro, the 16th Wizard King Jester played by Fumiya Takahashi, and finally, the researcher Millie Maxwell played by Marie Iide.
It was also announced that the March 27 issue of Weekly Shonen Jump No. 17 will feature a special illustration drawn by Tabata to commemorate the release of the movie on the front cover. In addition to the main characters such as Asta and Yuno, the original characters of the movie will all be illustrated by Tabata, the original manga artist!

▍ Black Clover Synopsis
The story follows Asta, a young boy born without any magical power but with aspirations to become the next Wizard King. Orphaned and without any mana, Asta instead trains his physical strength to keep up with others, while his best friend Yuno is a child prodigy born with immense magical power and talent.
As the two develop a rivalry, one-day Yuno obtains a four-leaf grimoire that lets him hone his magic even further, while Asta finds a five-leaf grimoire, that contains a mysterious sword and anti-magic properties. Together the two join a Magic Knight Squad to fulfill their goal of becoming the next wizard king!
