▍About The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Tears of the Kingdom is to 2017’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Taking place sometime after the ending of Breath of the Wild, the land of Hyrule has changed, with civilization slowly taking back the great plains of Hyrule, and small expedition teams and settlers making their way to the outsides of Hyrule castle, having rebuilt the interior after the fight with Calamity Ganon.
However, an expedition trip led by Link and Zelda goes horribly wrong as they find the remains of the King of Thieves Ganondorf deep under Hyrule, inadvertently reviving his body as he once again threatens the safety of Hyrule, and a new threat begins to creep over the land.
Armed with new tools and the ability to now explore the mysterious islands floating high in the sky, Link steels himself for another adventure against one of Hyrule’s oldest adversaries.
The game’s latest trailer shows off new features and additions to the game, including AI companions that battle alongside Link in specific scenarios. In contrast, previously they would only show up for cutscenes and disappeared whenever the action happened. There also seem to be new variants of Bokoblins roaming around Hyrule wearing new headgear.
The trailer also shows off some more of the game’s Fuse function as link combines wheels and other odds and bits to create a mobile tank against Bokoblins that have now setup fortresses on top of Stone Taluses!
