Publisher FuRyu and developer AQURIA have announced that its latest action RPG title Crymachina will be postponing its July 6 release date to July 27 in Japan. The developers cited further quality improvements as the reason for the delay.
The game will see its launch in Japan first with a standard version priced at JPY$7,980 at retail and JPY$7,700 digitally. A physical, limited edition (offered at a limited quantity) will also be available for JPY$12,680, and a Digital Deluxe Edition for JPY$7,700.
Crymachina will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. The PC version on Steam, which was not mentioned in FuRyu’s official announcement, is planned to launch in the fall of 2023, alongside the worldwide release of the game.
It was also announced that the Special Soundtrack Album CD included in the pre-order edition of the title will be adding a new track as recompense for the postponement. Titled “A Moment in the Garden” (箱庭のひととき), the track is mentioned to be an ASMR track featuring title protagonist Enoa (CV: Hikaru Tohno).
Crymachina combines flashy action-packed combat with in-depth RPG elements to tell a thought-provoking story that questions the nature of humanity. The game sees players taking control of three different characters with varying playstyles and armaments, contending against enemies as they upgrade their equipment while exploring a cybernetic hellscape known as EDEN.
In a world where humans have gone extinct for several millennia, players take control of synthetic beings known as the Dei ex Machina, who has been tasked with bringing mankind back. Created by instilling deceased human psyches into synthetic bodies, the Dei ex Machina find themselves plunged into a conflict that sees them exploring their own humanity and the purpose of their construction.
