Developers Fahrenheit 213 and Aniplex followed up on its announcement of the previously teased new indie game. It’s now officially titled Murder Mystery Paradox: Fifteen Years of Summer, and the game is coming to PC via Steam in 2023 with Wishlisting available now.
The game is a text-based adventure / visual novel, set in the real-life Shikinejima islands where the characters attempt to solve a gruesome series of incidents known locally as the Shikinejima Vanishings. As the group uncovers the mystery, however, they begin to realize that each of them is a potential suspect, and if you fail to play your cards right you may be branded as the actual suspect…
The game currently doesn’t support English and will only be available in Japanese unlike the studio’s other title Tsurugihime coming in 2024.

Murder Mystery Paradox: Fifteen Years of Summer is an indie visual novel created by Fahrenheit 213 with distribution by Aniplex. The studio behind the game is founded by Yosuke Shiokawa, who was the previous director of Fate/Grand Order up until its second part.
Murder Mystery Paradox takes place in 2004, on the secluded and small Shikinejima Island, far from the coast of the Japanese mainland. You play as Itsuki Amazawa, a 15-year-old visiting the island for the first time to see his adoptive mother’s childhood home and to spend the rest of the summer with your new cousins.
As you spend your days however you start to learn the truth about the island, that there’s a series of incidents called the Shikinejima vanishing that have been causing the death of many inhabitants, and at the heart of this mystery happens to be the people Itsuki holds dear to him.
Your task is to uncover the mystery behind the vanishing and expose the one responsible for it. Unfortunately, everyone is a suspect, including you and you’ll have to hold yourself under the scrutiny of others, gain their trust, and try not to be framed for a crime you didn’t commit.
