The Dropkick on My Devil! / Jashin-Chan no Dropkick anime series announced it is getting a special 1-episode anime spin-off coming this winter.
The spin-off dubbed Jashin-chan Dropkick: Seikimatsu-hen (Apocalypse Arc) will premiere in Japan in winter 2023, and the website specifically emphasized that this special is not related to the crowd-funded fourth season of the anime and that this is a separate spinoff project.
The spinoff is created in collaboration with Kumamoto Prefecture’s town of Takamori, and much of the anime is a clear reference to Fist of the North Star, down to the seven stars that Jashin-chan and the apocalyptic nature of the setting with Yurine ruling over the town of Jinbocho. The anime has Jashin-chan guided by the night sky to defeat Yurine, but while heading south she has an encounter in the town of Takamori.
