Studio Z announced that the first Shaman King mobile game Shaman King: Funbari Chronicle will end service on July 12, 2023. The game first launched on December 8, 2021 in Japan and has run for 1 year and eight months before shutting down.
The game will terminate in-app purchases on June 12 and will accept refunds on July 12. And before that, it will continue to update its content including events, characters, and a costume design contest until the end of service. The developer also mentioned that it is considering developing an offline version that allows players to its illustrations, 3D graphics, and original stories. As the first official smartphone game based on the Shaman King anime, the game features high-quality 3D graphics to faithfully reproduce the worldview of Shaman King. A “Mangatic Mode” will be available for players to relive the signature scenes from the series. It will also feature original illustrations and episodes that are exclusive to the game.
