Developer WhiteCatToru announced that its cute cat-girl-themed Metroidvania game, Nyaruru Fishy Fight, will be officially released for PC on May 22, 2023. The game is currently available for Early Access on Steam supporting English and Simplified Chinese languages.
The official release of the game will feature the full story all the way to the end. As the world plunges into a realm where the townsfolk transform into cat-girls and cats turn into monsters, players will uncover the secrets of the cataclysmic event that occurred a century ago. The bond between Nyaruru and her loyal friend, Lily, as well as the friendships between cat girls, will be featured in the game.

Nyaruru Fishy Fight is a Metroidvania game with a focus on exploration, where cute cat girls engage in intense battles. Serving as a sequel to the 2020 release of the psycho-horror puzzle adventure game Nyakori’s Rabbit Doll, the game features interconnected characters and storylines.
The story unfolds in a small town where a strange incident transforms all its residents into cat girls with ears and tails like Nyaruru’s. Players assume the role of Nyaruru, using fish as their weapon while progressing through the game, uncovering the mysteries of a catastrophic event that occurred a hundred years ago, and exploring the connections with characters from the previous game. The game also explores the theme of friendship with Nyaruru’s cat girl best friend, Lily.
The pixel art visuals of Nyaruru Fishy Fight showcase a charming and colorful art style. Players can enjoy the unique experience of battling enemies by swinging fish. Various gameplay mechanics are incorporated, such as equipping items found during exploration to learn new skills and upgrading abilities through cat statues.
In addition to the exploration-focused action, players can also enjoy retro-themed mini-games and a boss challenge mode.
