Announced at yesterday’s SPARK 2023 annual conference, the Chinese game publisher Tencent Games announced that the new MMORPG Tarisland will enter the second closed beta on June 8 in China.
The developer also revealed a new gameplay video at the game conference introducing the Snow Lion Barbarians for the first time. A key race that leads the protagonist to the world of Tarisland. Interested players can apply for the test on the official site here.
First announced in early 2023, Tarisland has been raising some voices by taking obvious references from Blizzard’s World of Warcraft. Like WoW, Tarisland looks to be a fantasy MMO with a more cartoonish art style, while players can expect an expansive world filled with wonders as they explore a setting that combines technology and fantasy aspects.
In terms of combat, you can choose from one of seven classes, each with two distinct fighting styles and specializations for combat and party responsibilities. You’ll be running over enormous regions with various locales and foes, with a new journey each season. Players can also take challenges in various PVE and multiplayer content.
The story of Tarisland follows Moira, Leith, and Acheron who are the three primeval gods destiny, oblivion, and omen respectively who bear witness to the history of innumerable worlds that have intelligent life with a history so rich that a unique creature begins to awaken from inside.
There is currently no information about the game’s release date. But it is certainly heading global and is currently available for pre-registration on the official site. Tarisland will be available on Android, iOS, and PC upon launch. Crossplay between platforms is also supported.
