Mobile otome title Sengoku Night Blood (戦刻ナイトブラッド) is going to have its first TV anime adaption aired in October. The anime site is now open, revealing a key visual that includes the seven protagonists.
The setting is similar to the original game. The heroine timetravels to the Sengoku period by accident. The Sengoku warriors are different from what she learns from history – they are all Geggazoku, a race which has a special ability that can be triggered by sucking a specific type of blood. Not only do they fight each other, they also need to fight monsters called Yakima. Toyotomi Hideyoshi finds out the heroine’s blood is the one they need. Once the rumour reaches Uesugi Kenshin, Takeda Shingen, Sanada Yukimura, Date Masamune and Oda Nobunaga, she is caught up in a series of conflicts.
It is now in production at Typhoon Graphics and it shares the same director, Katsuya Kikuchi, with TV anime The Royal Tutor.
The original game released in May is jointly produced by Idea Factory, Kadokawa and Marvelous. The characters are designed by famous illustrators who have worked for other notable Otomate games.
