The developers behind the co-operative looter shooter, The First Descendant released a new trailer showing off some extended gameplay for the title, while also announcing the game is getting a cross-platform open beta test on August 22!
The First Descendant is an upcoming free-to-play cooperative shooter by Nexon, where players can pick between a wide variety of “Descendants”, characters with unique powers and fighting styles as they explore a massive world while fighting an invading force for the survival of humanity. Built in Unreal Engine The First Descendant has impressive realistic graphics and stunning visual effects.
Players can now apply for the game’s open beta test via the game’s official website, and the test will be open to players on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam from August 22 to August 28. The beta gives players access to two new never-before-seen characters, totaling 13 playable characters. The beta also has modes for single-player, co-op missions, enhanced UI and motions, as well as the inclusion of its grappling hook and customization.

As a free-to-play co-operative looter shooter, the game features a variety of characters fulfilling the role of classes as you shoot, blast, and cut your way through hordes of enemies and massive bosses. The game accommodates missions in both single-player and up to four-player cooperative missions.
Characters also have unique movement options, such as the ability to fly, camouflage from enemies, and use of a signature movement tool, the grappling hook, which can be used to climb higher platforms or to swing around walls and pillars realistically.
Players can equip up to three weapons at a time as they battle monsters in massive fields and arenas. When it comes to boss fights you can focus on certain body parts to weaken that aspect of it, such as shooting its legs to cause it to topple over, or its arm to weaken its attacks. Certain bosses can also be climbed on, allowing you to get up close and real damage to its critical body parts.
