Dengeki Bunko announced that Rocket Shokai’s light novel series Sentenced to Be a Hero: The Prison Records of Penal Hero Unit 9004 (Yūsha-kei ni Shosu: Chōbatsu Yūsha 9004-tai Keimu Kiroku) will be getting an anime adaptation
Not much has been announced in terms of animation, but a new visual was released by Kakuyomu to celebrate the announcement.
Sentenced to be a Hero is set in a world where the worst criminals are often punished with the worst fate on the planet… Heroism. They are tasked with being a hero to fight on the front lines against the demon king’s army, and if they die they are simply revived to fight once more until their sentence has ended. This story follows a small group of criminals and their leader who was convicted of killing a goddess, and his chance meeting with another goddess that could change his life, and the fate of the world.
