91Act’s Blazblue Entropy Effect is now officially available on Steam, and as part of its launch, the game is at a 12% discount!
The game is priced at approximately USD$19.99 or your regional equivalent based, on over 100 potentials and tactics, an advanced mode, a hardcore mode, and the game’s story. It is currently available in English, Simplified Chinese, and Japanese and is expected to receive two more free DLCs in September and November, with two brand-new characters before it enters its full launch in Early 2024.

BlazBlue Entropy Effect is a side-scrolling rogue-like featuring the Blazblue characters in an all-new story. Explore four themed stages from the Night City, Ruins, Research Base, and Sakura City along a massively procedurally generated Metroidvania map called “Omega Space”. Each stage has its own number of hazards and distinct enemy encounters, so your previous knowledge of each location will be key to success.
BlazBlue Entropy Effect features 7 characters during its early access launch, Ragna, Hibiki, Mai, Hakumen, Noel, Kokonoe, and Λ-No.11- from multiple Blazblue titles. Each character has their own distinct arsenal and unique gameplay systems, such as Ragna with his powerful Aramasa that deals immense damage at the cost of his own health, or Kokonoe who can lay down ranged damage using her rockets and traps.
As the game progresses, each character starts as a Prototype that can be augmented obtaining Potentials and Tactics. While Potentials enhance a character’s action abilities, Tactics provide Prototypes with various elemental attack forms. The Early Access version incorporates over 100 Potentials and more than 200 Tactics.
Players can also carry over data from the enhanced Prototypes, allowing them to customize other characters with the skills of the enhanced one. With so many options available and so many ways to improve upon your next character, the game is practically begging to be replayed over and over.
BlazBlue Entropy Effect features 10 bosses, each with unique mechanics, and over 50 distinct enemies. For hardcore gamers seeking the utmost challenge, an Advanced Training Mode has been included. Unlocked after beating the game in its standard difficulty Advanced mode makes enemies more aggressive, and evolves bosses into new forms with more mechanics and tighter attack timings.
The main story unfolds primarily through dialogue choices, with different decisions shaping the narrative’s direction. As players delve deeper, what initially appears as a subtle plot gradually emerges, touching upon themes of mission, trust, and salvation. Players will be faced with numerous dialogue decisions, which will determine the storyline’s direction and ending, crafting an immersive and memorable journey.
Players can obtain Phenomena Fragments during combat, and these items will slowly piece together the game’s actual story through hidden truths. By piecing the story together, you can earn special videos that go into the whole story of the game beyond what’s immediately shown.
