▍Alice Escaped! Gameplay
Players can switch between the Usada and Kotora on the fly, as the former swings a hefty but squeaky hammer while the latter fires a pastel-colored gun in battle. The game incentivizes quick switching as a means to dish out devastating damage as the longer you combo your foes the more your attack power rises!
Enemies throughout the world in Alice Escaped will drop skill crystals which can then be used to further improve the two protagonists’ weapons. But more importantly, it grants them new skills unique to each of them. How you choose to use your hard-earned skill crystals is left up to you, with some later skills even allowing you to persuade would-be enemies to assist you instead. Taking out enemies builds up your Chance Gauge, which can be used to perform supporting attacks and devastating ultimate attacks that can quickly turn the tables!
