▍PaniPani
PaniPani – パラレルニクスパンドラナイト
Japanese Gamer Reactions:
"Quite hard to make new gear, I’ve been using the same gear the whole time, gets quite dull."
"Did the side quest 43 times with 8 of them being S. The game doesn’t force you to pay… makes you wonder how they’ll survive."
"Farmed endlessly, got a lot of capsules, but nothing good. Guess I’ll have to wait for them to expire before I start farming again."
This game bears resemblance to the iconic MMO 2D platform game Maple Story. Players explores open 2D zones to hunt monsters, and gather different materials to improve their gear. The best part of the game lies in the exploration. the big open areas can have you playing for hours without feeling it.
PaniPani does reward players who play more than others, so there really isn’t too big of a gap between free to play players and pay-to-win players. No matter what, players will still have to go out and and hunt for the things they need.
▍Bleach -Lost Paradise-
Japanese Gamer Reactions:
"Watched the previous PV, thought it was an action game…"
"Shard based system? Looks the road to 6★ is going to be long."
"I know I live in a rural area, but no one ever takes the gym, does anyone actually play this game?"
Imagine Seven Knights x Pokemon GO with Bleach characters, essentially, that is the core of Bleach Lost Paradise. The main story stages of the game features a turn based combat similar to Netmarble’s Seven Knights. The game also features a location-based gameplay which is similar to Pokemon GO.
The GPS feature only fully works in Japan, players outside of Japan will still be able to find Hollows in their surroundings, but there won’t be a visible map and there won’t be Gyms to take over.
▍Puzzle Fighter
Gamer Reactions:
"The character models really weird"
"Music and aesthetics aren’t what they used to be."
"Looking forward to more characters being introduced!"
Most of the original game’s essence can still be found in the new game, the list of iconic Capcom characters alone is a good enough reason to try this game. Unfortunately, the game’s character models have taken a really weird turn in the new game. Whether it is for the better or for the worse, that is totally up to personal taste…
▍Hinemosu Shikihime Project
終日式姬
Japanese Gamer Reactions:
"This kind of system.. are you asking players to just collect the 9 rarest characters?!"
"Well.. This company used to make games where event giveaway heroes can be strong if you invest in them."
"A costume system, not bad!"
The latest title of Shikihime Project. Improved combat system and overall enhancements to character development makes the game quite an upgrade to previous titles, but with all the new upgrades, the game has also made some questionable turns, the new game has taken a try at shard-based system.
▍Defense Witches 2
ディフェンスウィッチーズ2
Japanese Gamer Reactions:
"Getting Gear in the gacha makes you a winner"
"Sequel to a classic series, support!"
"Character designs from the previous titles had more style…
"
Sequel to the classic mobile Tower Defense (TD) game, Defense Witch. The new game is packed with improvements, from character designs to system optimisations to enrich player gameplay experience. Although the game has also included a shard-based system for character development, it is fairly easy to get shards, the real challenge is getting rare gear from gacha. Those going planning to go on a reset marathon for this game be sure to aim for gear over characters.
