Koei Tecmo’s Attack on Titan 2 (進撃の巨人2) for PS4/PS Vita/Switch/PC (Steam) has made a preview of some new features. The game will be available in March 2018.
▍Buddy Action
Buddy Action is only available among the members who are fighting together at the same place. Players can get help from other buddies as well as helping their buddies.
Titan Eren can help kicking enemy titans out of the way while players mount themselves with him.
▍Hook Drive
When evading a titan’s attack, a “hook drive” can be prompted. If players successfully evade an attack, they can launch a powerful counter attack.
▍Security Level
As players approach the titans, their security level rises. It’s best to attack them when the level is low.
When the security level is the highest, the titans are aware of players location and therefore launches a powerful attack that can destroy the surrounding, which makes it hard for players to escape using 3DMG.
In order to get out of a difficult situation, a flash bomb is needed to blind the titans.
▍Surprise Attack
With a telescope, players can examine a titan far away for a very limited period. This is the chance to launch a surprise attack that can deal a lot of damage.
▍Capture
Players can place various devices around the battlefield to capture titans. Different from the previous game, hand-held capturing net firearms will be available.
▍New Characters
There are about 30 playable characters in Attack on Titan 2. The latest revealed characters are listed as follows.
