Zoku Owarimonogatari (続・終物語), the last novel of Ishin Nishio’s (西尾維新) Monogatari series is going to be animated in 2018. A key visual and a preview video is out today.
Cast and staff details have not been announced, but it is estimated that those who have worked for the previous Monogatari’s anime adaptions, including director Akiyuki Shinbo, will return for this anime.
The first preview video that shows various familiar characters is voiced by the series’ hero – Koyomi Araragi (CV: Hiroshi Kamiya).
▍Story
The plot is set the day after Koyomi Araragi graduates from high school.
The novel excerpt reads…
“‘I am living in bliss,
but it seems like an illusion.’
The morning after graduation ceremony,
Koyomi Araragi wakes up without his sister’s help.
He has become nothing.
What is the new world he is about to confront?
This is the continuation of their monogatari.
This is the modern oddity! Strange! Errie! –
