Revolutionary Girl Utena creator and director Kunihiko Ikuhara (幾原 邦彦) previously put up a recruitment post via Yuri!!! on ICE animation studio MAPPA for a new animation project. Today, the project is revealed to be Sarazanmai (さらざんまい).
Sarazanmai is an original TV anime show set for release in 2019. It is currently in production at lapintrack and MAPPA. The teaser trailer, which is possibly narrated by Junichi Suwabe, says…

The anime is the first work to be produced by Ikuhara after his two-year hiatus. The director was first famous for directing Sailor Moon’s TV anime adaption. Then he created his own franchise, Revolutionary Girl Utena, in 1997 and even directed the TV anime spin-off. Since then, he has been directing mostly Yuri anime. His last work is Yurikuma Arashi aired in early 2015.
